3 Fonteinen is an old traditional Belgian brewery founded in 1887 that specializes in Lambic style beer. The brewery is located in Beersel near Brussels and produces classic versions of kriek and geuze.

Lambic is a type of beer traditionally brewed in the Pajottenland region of Belgium and in Brussels itself. Unlike most other beers, which are fermented with specially bred yeast, lambic is fermented spontaneously. Beer is exposed to wild yeasts and bacteria from the air.

This unusual production process gives the beer an exceptional taste, the beer tastes like wine or cider and is usually very sour.
